There is a known issue in which Chrome users may not be able to use their microphones.  When this happens, it may not be possible to connect with a notary or the notary may not be able to hear you as required. This is a Chrome bug that Google is actively working to address.

To solve the issue you have to completely quit Chrome and relaunch it.  Please note, completely quitting means closing out all Chrome tabs, not just one. Instructions are provided below.

Alternatively, you may wish to use Firefox, our other supported web browser. 

How to Quit Chrome:

Mac:

On Mac, you can completely quit Chrome by going to the Chrome menu in the top left and selecting “Quit Google Chrome”

     

PC:

On Windows, you can completely quit Chrolicking on Chrome in the bottom windows bar and click “Close All Windows.”
