Advice and answers from the Notarize Team

Once your document is notarized, you will be granted access to  three files:

  1. Notarized Document
  • This is your notarized document, including the digital seal.

    2. Verification Instructions

  • This is a page contains the necessary information for the receiving party to verify the transaction. Important information includes:
  •       Retrieval ID/Notarize ID
  •       Retrieval Pin/Access Pin
  •       Signer’s Last Name
  •       Date Completed (MM/DD/YYYY)

    3. State Legal Info

  • This page provides an overview of Notarize and the legality of electronic notarization. 
  • Relevant, state-specific legal language will also be included for reference by the receiving party. 

If you are the recipient of the document: 

To verify a notary transaction you may use this tool. You will need to provide the following pieces of information which should be provided by the signer of the document. 

  • Retrieval ID/Notarize ID
  • Retrieval Pin/Access Pin
  • Signer’s Last Name
  • Date Completed (MM/DD/YYYY)

Once you’ve provided this information, you may click the “RETRIEVE” button. You may then view the following resources:

  • Notarization Details
  • Video Recording
  • Document
