Having trouble with audio while using Chrome?
There is a known issue in which Chrome users may not be able to use their microphones. When this happens, it may not be possible to connect with a notary or the notary may not be able to hear you as required. This is a Chrome bug that Google is actively working to address.
To solve the issue, please try the troubleshooting steps below:
Check Your Microphone Settings:
After you have clicked the "Let's Get Started" button, a connection test will begin that you can adjust your settings during or you can also do this while you are connected with a notary.
Please click on the video camera icon in the address bar to change your settings.
If the steps above do not resolve your issue, please completely quit Chrome and relaunch it. Please note, completely quitting means closing out all Chrome tabs, not just one. Instructions are provided below.
Alternatively, you may wish to use Firefox, our other supported web browser.
How to Quit Chrome:
On Mac, you can completely quit Chrome by going to the Chrome menu in the top left and selecting “Quit Google Chrome”
On Windows, you can completely quit Chrome, by right-clicking Chrome in the bottom Windows bar by clicking “Close All Windows.”
