This article discusses what 'White Text Tagging' is and how senders can use it on the documents.
'White Text Tagging' is a tagging solution that Title Agents can implement to automatically tag their documents with signer designations when sending through Notarize. When a document is uploaded to the Notarize platform via API or UI, the platform locates white text placeholders and automatically adds the prescribed designations for signers and/or a notary to annotate the document.

White Text Tagging Implementation
See our Developer Documentation for White-text tagging and an example document with a complete list of white-text syntax outlined.
Notarize will set your Title account to have either [STANDARD] or [STANDARD - HIDDEN]. These are set on the account level but can also be switched for individual documents uploaded to Notarize.

Adeptive Support is a resource for title agents implementing these white text tags.
- [STANDARD]: Notarize sets this on the account level if the Title agent is using white text in their white-text tag syntax.
- [STANDARD - HIDDEN] : Notarize sets this on the account level if Title agent is using non-white text (black, blue, red etc.) in their white-text tag syntax.
This will expedite the process of Notarize Closing Ops being able to get transactions sent to Signers. If Title Agents want to send transactions directly to Signers and not utilize Notarize Closing Ops, they can also white-text tag their documents before sending to Notarize. See 'Sending Directly to Signers' in Place an Order from ResWare to Notarize for more information.
