Knowing When to Cancel a Transaction
If a transaction contains errors that cannot be fixed in the meeting, you must cancel the transaction and generate a new one.
Signer name misspellings and document tagging can be fixed when in a meeting with a signer.
Errors that cannot be fixed during a meeting include:
- A transaction sent to an incorrect email address
- Documents need to be replaced
- The number of signers participating has changed
Steps to Cancel a Single Transaction
- Log in to your Notarize account and navigate to the Send + Manage tab.
- Select the red button on the Transaction Details page.
Notes
- The option to cancel is only available for transactions that are expired. (The transaction was sent but not completed, and the closing date has passed. Keep in mind that it will no longer be accessible to the signer or you when you cancel a transaction, and is not a reversible action.
- You cannot void completed transactions.
- You can delete drafts from the main page.
- The platform does not provide the option to edit a transaction.
