Split Signing, also known as Sequential Signing, is when multiple signers sign the same document, one after another, in separate notary meetings. Signers may opt for a Split Signing if they cannot be in the meeting simultaneously.
Split Signing also occurs if two signers are initially in the same meeting and one signer drops off and cannot complete the meeting. The Notary can continue the meeting with the first signer, and the signer that dropped can complete the notarization later.
