A Loose Leaf (or Loose Certificate) is a separate document with notarial language, which is completed and attached to the notarized document. The Loose Leaf can be a Certificate of Acknowledgement, Copy Certification, or Jurat. The notary may use a Loose Leaf if there is no notarial language on a document or if there is not enough room to notarize a document.
